Retreat Workshops
ART FOR ALL - CREATIVITY - RELAXATION
Workshops with the
NZ Down Syndrome Association
held at Long Bay, Auckland
A painting workshop for young adults with Down syndrome, and a session for their parents. 3 hours of peaceful, playful, art time. No external pressure; a time to recapture the pleasure of moving paint around a surface; an opportunity to refresh your vision - to explore colours and textures - to experiment with new techniques that are simple but effective. Each paticipant took home their completed canvas as a positive reminder of this relaxing weekend away.

PAINTING, SILKSCREEN & PAPERMAKING WORKSHOPS
at
AIM (ADULTS IN MOTION) 2009
A series of three different workshops were offered to the group of participants at AIM, a vocational service that caters for young adults with disabilities. Exploring new art-forms and techniques is a great way to encourage creativity and experimentation - often with exciting results. With support, all participants were able to participate in all the workshops.
