Inclusive Art Sessions
StudioChristel is an inclusive creative space that can cater for up to eight adults. Most needs can be accommodated.
Workshops can also be designed for individuals (one-on-one) or for groups with specific needs. These can be held at StudioChristel or at other suitable venues.
IHC Art Awards
Open to all New Zealanders with
an intellectual disability
In September 2019, Julia Quelch, a regular participant at StudioChristel, was selected as a finalist in the IHC Art Award with her artwork, 'Forest Fairy'.
"The IHC Art Awards provides artists with an intellectual disability the opportunity to have their talent recognised, their voices heard and to sell their work. It highlights the talent and achievements of people with intellectual disabilities."

Painting workshops for young adults with Down syndrome and a session for their parents:
3 hours of peaceful, playful, art time. No external pressure; a time to recapture the pleasure of moving paint around a surface; an opportunity to refresh your vision - to explore colours and textures - to experiment with new techniques that are simple but effective.
